Due Next Class:
- Submit Final Project 2: In thin pocket folder include (in this order): filled out self evaluation, project sheet, 3 warmup exercise prints, initial research, mind map, format dummy (if fit, otherwise include images), thumbnails, type trials, process prints of menu. Three-hole punch everything that is process related (or use plastic sleeves). Final designs should not be three-hole punched (do not bind) and included inside the front pocket on your pocket folder.
- Final menu design should be printed and trimmed on good paper stock.
- Project 2 Final Presentations (1–2 minutes)
- P2 Final Email Crits
- by 3pm on Sunday 10.7 – email revised PDF (smallest file size) to your critique group
- by 3pm on Tuesday 10.9 — provide a critical feedback response to all 3 members of your group. Edits can be done, saved, and returned to the designer using Adobe Acrobat. Great for highlighting and writing notes.
- by 4pm on Tuesday 10.9 – email your TWO crits of other’s designs to cass – email cass.reese@gmail.com
- Begin reading Ch. 2 on a Brief History of Graphic Design.
- Project 3: Phase I (typed listed, image collection and descriptions), 12 thumbnail sketches

10.09 – Reading Day
10.11 – SUBMIT P2 (final presentation); P3: Phase I (typed listed, image collection and descriptions), 12 thumbnail sketches
10.16 – P3: Phase II (50 thumbnail sketches)
10.18 – P3: Phase III (10 roughs) for small group critique
10.23 – P3: Phase IV (2 comps) for first finish critique
10.25 – P3: Phase V (final poster design) for final critique
